Zigzag Improv is an international theatre group based in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 2010 under the name ‘Geneva Improv’ on Glocals, it has grown into an exceptionally large, friendly community of 800+ theatrical improvisation enthusiasts from diverse cultures and professions.
Besides being fun, improv works wonders for an individual’s self-confidence and communication skills. It boosts creativity, promotes teamwork, enhances emotional well-being and facilitates social integration for both adults and children.
Thursday & Friday evening workshops
Our founder and coach Sandra-Lynne Jones has facilitated more than 1,500 hours of theatre workshops since 2010. Although the main language is English, many participants are non-native speakers and much emphasis is placed on non-verbal theatre and mime. Scenes are also sometimes enacted in other languages or in gibberish. The atmosphere is supportive and playful, helping people wind down at the end of a stressful week. Early registration via Glocals is advised, since places at are limited.
Zigzag Improv Geneva is happy to be invited for school visits, private functions and team-building retreats – something you might consider suggesting to your workplace. We sometimes also hold private classes at basic and advanced level.
