Since early childhood, Sandra-Lynne Jones has been passionate about theatre, drawing and music. She has studied and practised theatre in three languages and four different countries. Through play and mime, she puts the stress on active listening and teamwork to help her students blossom, express their creativity and gain in self-confidence.
She has had a rather varied career path: reading languages and literature at Oxford University, working as a schoolteacher in Siberia with reindeer herdsmen’s children, studying interpreting & translation and creative writing (writing for young people) at postgraduate level and pursuing a long career as a translator for the United Nations. Since 2010, Sandra-Lynne has facilitated over 1,000 hours of theatre workshops at the Traverse (Maison de Quartier des Pâquis), establishing a friendly international community of over 850 theatrical improvisation enthusiasts.
Since switching career paths in December 2013, she has devoted her energies to her love for the theatre, offering drama classes to adults and children. She founded Zigzag Improv Geneva in 2010.
